Six COVID-19 recovered patients discharged from Mulago Hospital

The Supreme Court of Medicine Mulago National Referral Hospital discharged six patients who healed from COVID-19 and tested negative twice for Corona-Virus. Patients received their certificates from the Executive Director as they were driven off to their homes, the Executive Director further notified Ugandans that the hospital has a ready and prepared team dedicated to treat all COVID-19 referrals to recovery. One of the discharged patients who was an elderly lady from Masaka thanked the entire team for taking good care of her and other patients while admitted at the hospital Ward.
The Executive Director welcomed intern doctors to join their colleagues on the hospital treatment team for COVID-19, this opportunity will equip them with the knowledge and expertise to confront serious cases like COVID-19 in the future, Dr. Baterana also called upon all Ugandans to follow Government guidelines in place to fight the spread of Corona-Virus.
One of the senior doctors on the hospital COVID-19 treatment team Dr. Fredrick Nakwagala pointed out the availabilty of Social Workers, Psychologists and Psychiatrists on the hospital COVID-19 treatment team, these majorly counsel patients while on treatment and after treatment, counselling is given to COVID-19 Patients since most of them come with anxiety and the fear for death.
Seven COVID-19 recovered patients discharged from Mulago Hospital

Mulago National Referral Hospital discharged seven patients who healed from COVID-19 after testing negative twice for Corona-Virus, the discharged of the seven recovered seven patients was chaired by the State Minister of Health for General duties honourabe Robinah Nabbanja, the minister thanked Mulago Hospital COVID-19 treatment headed by the Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director for working tirelessly in the treatment of COVID-19 patients to recovery.The minister further applauded Mulago Hospital team for putting Uganda on the world map for having the capabilty to treat and heal COVID-19 patients.
The minister informed Ugandans that her ministry is working on procuring a heavy duty Oxygen plants and over 40 ambulances for referral hospitals in the country. One of the recovered patients mr. Emmanuel was very joyful upon his healing and he thanked the team at the hospital for taking good care of him.

The Executive Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital discharged four paiteints who were the first registered recoveries of COVID-19 from Mulago Hospital, these patients tested negative twice from Corona-Virus. Dr. Byarugaba Baterana adviced Ugandans to be vigilant and carry out all the preventive measures put in place by Government to prevent contracting Corona-Virus beacause the number of available ventilators in the country can't support overwhelming cases of COVID-19 that Uganda may register if Ugnadnas don't take Government preventive measures seriously.
Dr. Byarugaba Baterana thanked the President for his quick strategy of taking immediate measures such as the lockdown among others to curb the wide spread of Corona-Virus in Uganda therefore Dr. Baterana encouraged Ugandans to contnue observing the lockdown inorder to contain the wide spread of Corona-Virus. The Executive Director requested the Ministry of Health to equip regional refferals with ventilators among other essential medical requirements, this will reduce on the high numbers of patients reffersd to kampala to access these requirements.
