Mulago Hospital prepared and fully ready to receive COVID-19 referrals

The Executive Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital Dr. Byarugaba Baterana led a tour of journalists and Ugangans to witness the preparedness and readiness of the hospital to receive & handle treatment of COVID-19 cases,the director further stressed that COVID-19 patients will offered all the adequate treatment including meals for their nutrition. Journalists were taken throughout the wards prepared for COVID-19 patients and they they were shown high end ICU machines that will be used to offer support to very ill patients of Coronavirus. .

Dr. Baterana while addressing journalists, he assured Ugandans that Mulago Hospital has over 900 bed capacity and each bed has a high dependency unit for Oxygen support among others making Uganda one of the countries in Africa with high end Medical equipment, the Executive Director further called upon Ugandans to observe execllent hygiene by regularly washing their hands with soap & water or embrace the use of sanitizers.
